Baseball Recap: Evansville Harrison Comes Up Short

Evansville Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Evansville Memorial Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 last Wednesday.

Evansville Harrison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Evansville Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Evansville Memorial, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Evansville Harrison will square off against South Spencer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evansville Memorial, they will challenge Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
