Soccer Recap: Haleyville Beats East Lawrence for Their Fourth Straight Victory

While Haleyville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-11-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the East Lawrence Eagles on Thursday as the Haleyville Lions made off with a 4-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly four goals.

They hit East Lawrence with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kenna Turner (2), Jasmine Blanco, and Neri Blanco.

The win (which was Haleyville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four matches. As for East Lawrence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Haleyville didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Brooks on the 10th. East Lawrence will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wilson at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th.
