Football Recap: Fremd Find Success

Fremd's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They snuck past the Schaumburg Saxons with an 18-13 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Saxons: they've now won three in a row.

Lily Mayer produced another solid performance rushing for 101 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 143 yards and one touchdown.

Although Schaumburg took the loss, they still got scores from Martha White and Mia Phelps.

Fremd's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Schaumburg, they moved to 11-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fremd is set to face off against their familiar foe Prospect at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Vikings 14.4, the Knights 15) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Schaumburg will take on rival Buffalo Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
