Basketball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss

Midway lost against Forestburg back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Midway Falcons lost 65-45 to the Forestburg Longhorns.

Leading Forestburg to victory were Kyler Willett and Jesus Sanchez. Willett posted 22 points, while Sanchez had 22 points. That's the most points Willett has posted since back in November of 2024. Jesse Wadsworth was another key player, putting up ten points.

Midway has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Forestburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Midway has already played their next contest (against Gold-Burg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Forestburg will host Saint Jo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Saint Jo will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Forestburg surely won't give up without a fight.
