Baseball Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Bethel Jaguars

For the second straight game, Vallejo will face off against Bethel. The Redhawks will host the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Vallejo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Vallejo will bounce into Friday's game after beating Bethel, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Redhawks put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 15-5 win on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Redhawks have beaten the Jaguars on their field since May 8, 2018.

Royce Pennington was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. David Bernstine III was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Vallejo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bethel is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16. As for Vallejo, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
