Recap: Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans vs. St. John Woodchucks
The Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of St. John by a score of 70-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. John to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madden Parisien, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Parisien continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Simon LaRocque was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Drayton/Valley-Edinburg bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. John, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
Drayton/Valley-Edinburg will take on Langdon/Edmore/Munich at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John, they will head out on the road to face off against Cavalier at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cavalier presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. John in North Dakota (Cavalier is ranked 32nd, while St. John is ranked 99th).
