Volleyball Recap: Morgan Raiders vs. River View Black Bears
After flying high against Crooksville last Thursday, Morgan came back down to earth. The Morgan Raiders fell 3-1 to the River View Black Bears on Saturday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Black Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
While Morgan ultimately came up short, they really made River View work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-27, 26-24, 25-15.
River View found their leader in underclassman Lindyn Fry, who had 22 digs.
Morgan's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for River View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morgan and West Holmes are set to duel on Tuesday. West Holmes is coming into the game with three straight wins on the road, so Morgan will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for River View, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Clairsville at 6:00 p.m. River View is facing St. Clairsville at the right time seeing as St. Clairsville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
