Baseball Recap: Adrian's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Adrian entered their tilt with Jackson on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 16-2 victory last Monday.

Julius Robichaud made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Bruggeman, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Adrian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Gary Kemerer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win got Adrian back to even at 3-3. As for Jackson, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adrian will face off against Blissfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Jackson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chelsea at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
