Baseball Recap: Fowler Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Fowler never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Potterville Vikings 11-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Sam Vanneste, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Seth Armbrustmacher also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Fowler was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Fowler's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7. As for Potterville, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-22.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fowler will face off against Carson City-Crystal at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Potterville, they will challenge Bellevue at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
