Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hull

Hull extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 3-1. They had just enough and edged out the Quincy Presidents 12-10. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Quincy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 14, 2025.

For Quincy's part, they got a good showing from Danny Reynolds, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Reynolds has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Joe MacNeil was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Ryan Beach was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hull will face off against South Shore Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Quincy, they will square off against Brockton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
