St. Francis Borgia came out on top against Lutheran on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Knights narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cougars 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

St. Francis Borgia's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh Koirtyohann, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Koirtyohann a new career-high. Will Weber also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

St. Francis Borgia's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

St. Francis Borgia will take on Duchesne at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lutheran, they will challenge St. Dominic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
