Basketball Recap: Canyon Comes Up Short

Canyon was the 60-55 winner over Damien when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Comanches fell 68-59 to the Spartans on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Comanches still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Canyon and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Damien, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Canyon will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Colony at 6:00 p.m. on December 8. As for Damien, they will face off against St. Bernard on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
