Football Game Preview: Radford Bobcats vs. Floyd County Buffaloes + How To Watch

Radford is 8-2 against Floyd County since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bobcats will take on the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Radford ended up a good deal behind Carroll County and lost 49-34. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Radford might have lost, but man, Peyton Dobbins was a machine: he threw for 288 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground. Dobbins' passing game has become a key predictor of the Bobcats' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Floyd County was able to grind out a solid victory over James River on Friday, taking the game 28-21. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Floyd County's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Radford, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Radford didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Floyd County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 24-20 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
