Football Recap: Riverside Prep Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Riverside Prep had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Big Bear Bears 41-7 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Silver Knights in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost three in a row.

Ethan McClain and Daniel Gutierrez certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McClain picked up 122 receiving yards and one TD, while Gutierrez threw for 219 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside Prep will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Desert Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Big Bear, they will square off against Rim of the World at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
