Softball Recap: Scott City Comes Up Short

Scott City was the 10-9 winner over Bernie when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams fell just short of the Mules by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Alyvia Karrenbrock made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Landis, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Scott City's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Bernie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Scott City is taking a road trip to take on Leopold at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bernie, they will host Meadow Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
