On Tuesday, East Gaston needed a bit of extra time to put away Burns. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 2-1. East Gaston haven't had any issues with Burns recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 1-0 shutout. Sophia Bell had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy.

East Gaston's win bumped their record up to 8-4-2. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

East Gaston came out on top in a nail-biter against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy in their previous matchup on April 8th, sneaking past 2-1.
