It was a good run, but Waynesfield-Goshen unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ansonia Tigers. Waynesfield-Goshen was probably out for revenge after losing 51-50 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Waynesfield-Goshen's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Ansonia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynesfield-Goshen will welcome Jackson Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ansonia, they will host Mississinawa Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th.
