Softball Recap: Marian Catholic's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marian Catholic can now relate to. They lost 15-0 to the Tri-Valley Bulldogs on Tuesday. Marian Catholic was red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but Tri-Valley's pitcher proved too tough.

Marian Catholic moved to 13-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Tri-Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Marian Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Holy Cross at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
