Baseball Game Preview: Mandeville Skippers vs. South Terrebonne Gators

The Mandeville Skippers will take on the South Terrebonne Gators in a tournament on Friday. Mandeville hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Mandeville fell victim to Hahnville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Skippers have suffered since March 9, 2024.

Mandeville got a good showing from Logan McNamara, who struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. McNamara is becoming a predictor of Mandeville's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday South Terrebonne sidestepped Benjamin Franklin for a 4-3 win.
