NCSSM: Morganton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Carolina International Comets with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Dragons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Carolina International's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. NCSSM: Morganton will challenge rival Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carolina International is set to square off against their familiar foe Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
