Baseball Recap: Preston Gets the Win

Preston won the last time they faced Stroud and things went their way on Thursday too. The Preston Pirates came out on top against the Stroud Tigers by a score of 6-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Kaden Dean was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dean was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Gage Ausbrooks was excellent, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Pepper Gallup was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Preston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stroud only posted a batting average of .130.

Preston's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Stroud, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Preston will square off against Riverside Indian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Stroud is facing Wellston at the right time seeing as Wellston is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
