Football Recap: Chapin Comes Up Short

Chapin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 48-6 loss at the hands of the Irmo Yellow Jackets. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked fourth).

Jay Stoker threw for 55 yards on nine of 20 attempts. On the ground, Luke Cromer rushed for 77 yards.

Chapin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Irmo, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Chapin will square off against rival White Knoll at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Irmo is set to take on their familiar foe Dutch Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
