Preview: Amistad Wolves vs. East Lyme Vikings
Amistad has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the East Lyme Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Amistad ended up a good deal behind Masuk and lost 58-41.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Fatema Thomas, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was LaShaya Patterson , who scored eight points along with 12 blocks and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Lyme's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They suffered a tough 70-46 loss at the hands of Pomperaug. East Lyme has not had much luck with Pomperaug recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Amistad's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Lyme, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Amistad came up short against East Lyme in their previous matchup back in January, falling 50-41. Can Amistad avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
