Volleyball Recap: Boulder Takes a Loss

If Boulder was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Campion Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Fossil Ridge SaberCats on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 15th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Boulder has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Fossil Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Boulder didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Colorado Springs Christian on the 23rd. As for Fossil Ridge, they will take on Niwot at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the SaberCats have won five straight at home, while the Cougars won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
