Football Game Preview: Brearley Bears vs. South Hunterdon Eagles

The Brearley Bears will head out to face off against the South Hunterdon Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brearley will be strutting in after a win while South Hunterdon will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Brearley earned a 17-7 victory over Roselle Park. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Meanwhile, South Hunterdon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-12 defeat at the hands of Manville. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Mustangs since Friday.

Brearley's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for South Hunterdon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Brearley came up short against South Hunterdon when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 16-8. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
