Football Recap: Alyssa Miranda Leads Brawley's Defense on Wednesday

Brawley was the 25-19 winner over Imperial when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Wednesday. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Even if they lost, Brawley's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Alyssa Miranda was the leader with two. Miranda is crushing it when it comes to sacks: she's posted at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Brawley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Imperial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Brawley will take on Mission Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Imperial will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats face off against the Buccaneers, they'll take on Imperial again at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
