Football Recap: Rye Neck Takes a Loss

Rye Neck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 24-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Irvington Bulldogs. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Rye Neck's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Irvington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rye Neck is set to challenge their familiar foe Haldane at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Irvington will square off against rival Dobbs Ferry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
