Lincoln-Way Central waltzed into their game on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Romeoville Spartans by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lincoln-Way Central easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16.

Lincoln-Way Central's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Romeoville, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Lincoln-Way Central will be taking part in a tournament against Richards at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Romeoville, they will venture away from home to square off against Plainfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
