After low-scoring totals in their previous four match, Capital brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on the South Charleston Black Eagles with a sharp 10-2 win on Monday. Considering the Cougars' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Capital's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for South Charleston, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-15.
