Baseball Recap: Rogers Heritage Comes Up Short

Rogers Heritage extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-2. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Har-Ber Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on Monday.

As for Har-Ber, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs this season.

For Har-Ber's part, their victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was CY SPENCER, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Those two runs gave SPENCER a new career-high. Another was MURRAY ACUFF, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, Rogers Heritage will be playing at home against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Har-Ber, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Kelley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
