Baseball Preview: Smoky Hill Buffaloes vs. Douglas County Huskies
The Smoky Hill Buffaloes will venture away from home to challenge the Douglas County Huskies at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Smoky Hill is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Smoky Hill came up short against Doherty and fell 8-4.
Smoky Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Goodrich, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Jonathan Fonseca, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Douglas County didn't have quite enough to beat Horizon on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
