Volleyball Recap: Rock Port Starts Season with Win Against Hamburg

Rock Port had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Hamburg Wildcats 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Jays also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Rock Port was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-11, 25-8.

Rock Port was led to victory by Presley Carlson and Kinley Lair. Carlson had seven aces, while Lair hit 100% for nine kills and eight aces and five digs. That's the most aces Lair has posted since back in October of 2024.

Rock Port didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against West Platte on the 29th. As for Hamburg, they will face off against Essex at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
