Basketball Recap: St. Paul Academy-Summit Comes Up Short

St. Paul Academy-Summit lost against Minnehaha Academy back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. Paul Academy-Summit Spartans were dealt a 90-56 loss at the hands of the Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Red Hawks are ranked 84th).

St. Paul Academy-Summit has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Minnehaha Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

St. Paul Academy-Summit will face off against Breck at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Breck knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully St. Paul Academy-Summit likes a good challenge. As for Minnehaha Academy, they will challenge Blake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Minnehaha Academy is on a four-game streak of home wins, Blake a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
