Recap: Wright City Lumberjax vs. Mena Bearcats
The Wright City Lumberjax put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 60-37 margin over Mena. The result was nothing new for Wright City, who have now won five games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Madison Carter was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Wright City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalan Haley, who scored 9 points.
Wright City's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Mena, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Wright City will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Smithville at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Mena, they will head out on the road to face off against Ozark at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ozark is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
