Football Recap: Stamford Black Knights vs. Trumbull Eagles

Stamford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trumbull Eagles. The Black Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Stamford wouldn't let Trumbull keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jonathan Paul, Tyler Coard, and Brandon Brutus picked up one apiece. Paul also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 12. Raphael Boynton was another major factor on D, making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Stamford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Trumbull, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stamford will head out to challenge Danbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trumbull, they are taking a road trip to take on Westhill at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
