Baseball Recap: Glenbard South Comes Up Short

Glenbard South had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 8-11 to make it five. They fell just short of the Bartlett Hawks by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by just one run.

Glenbard South saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tim Ewald, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run. Evan Bogue also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

As for Bartlett, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-11-1 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Glenbard South since April 4, 2022.

On Bartlett's side, the team relied heavily on Josh Colaizzi, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Scivittaro, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Glenbard South will be playing in front of their home fans against Streamwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sabres will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bartlett, they are taking a road trip to face off against West Chicago at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
