Softball Recap: Mater Bay Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mater Bay Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack on Monday, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Monday.

Jarilynn Romero was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Mater Bay Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Schoolhouse Prep, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9.

Mater Bay Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they will take on Miami Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Victors have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
