Baseball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Gateway Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-2 back in February.

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Gateway, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Dunbar Tigers challenge East Lee County Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gateway, they will host Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gateway is facing Lely at the right time seeing as Lely is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
