Model dropped down to 29-7 on Saturday, ending the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Calhoun Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Yellow Jackets when the teams met back in August of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Catherine Betz paced Model's offense, picking up six kills. Betz got some help from Landry Johnson and her nine assists.

As for Calhoun, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 27-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 19th.

Among those leading the charge was Chloe Edens, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.

Model didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Midtown on the 27th. As for Calhoun, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Walker on the 27th.
