Soccer Recap: Poway Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Poway after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Mission Hills Grizzlies by a score of 2-1. One thing that didn't help the Titans' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Gavin Rose.

Poway's goal came courtesy of Carlo Gonzalez-Martinez, who's now up to seven this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Poway and nudges their season record down to 11-8. As for Mission Hills, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Poway has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against San Marcos on the 19th. As for Mission Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hoover on the 19th.
