Softball Recap: Smyrna Bulldogs vs. Lebanon Blue Devils
Smyrna won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Blue Devils 12-1.
Adaeze Nwogbo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 5-for-5. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaliyah Barnes, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Talia Paredes, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Smyrna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lebanon only posted an OBP of .182.
Smyrna's record is now 11-3. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
