Baseball Recap: Foothill Extends Winning Streak to Three

Foothill won the last time they faced Elko and things went their way on Friday too. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly two runs.

Liam Wells looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Foothill's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Quinthus Mason, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

The victory (which was Foothill's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average this season. As for Elko, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Foothill will welcome Sports Leadership & Management at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Elko, they will be taking part in a tournament against Southeast Career Tech at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
