The Hampton County Hurricanes will head out on the road to challenge the Barnwell Warhorses at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hampton County has four straight victories, Barnwell has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Hampton County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 65) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hilton Head Christian Academy and snuck past 67-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Hampton County has posted yet this season.
Hampton County relied on the efforts of Devon Allen, who scored 15 points along with two steals, and Kavon Chisolm, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hector Rakes, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Barnwell ended up a good deal behind Williston-Elko on Saturday and lost 63-49. Barnwell has not had much luck with Williston-Elko recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
