Soccer Game Preview: Glenwood vs. Pleasant Plains/New Berlin

The Glenwood Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Pleasant Plains/New Berlin Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Glenwood sitting on five straight victories and Pleasant Plains/New Berlin on ten.

Glenwood barely beat Dunlap the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 7-2 win on Saturday. With Glenwood ahead 4-1 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Plains/New Berlin kept a clean sheet against Hillsboro on Saturday. They blew past the Hiltoppers 10-0. It was an even better day for Bailey Leach as she scored three goals for her team.

Glenwood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three games. As for Pleasant Plains/New Berlin, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Glenwood skirted past Pleasant Plains/New Berlin 2-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
