Garaway extended their winning streak to 11 on Friday, bumping them up to 11-1. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Malvern Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Annabelle King was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on True Tango, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Nadia Pope was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Garaway kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.

As for Malvern, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. The matchup marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

On Malvern's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Yost, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Garaway will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Meadowbrook at 12:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 1.2, the Colts 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Malvern, they will venture away from home to square off against Newcomerstown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
