Soccer Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside and Walsh Jesuit squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Riverside had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Riverside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Walsh Jesuit are ranked 18th).

Riverside's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15-1. As for Walsh Jesuit, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2-4 record this season.

Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walsh Jesuit, they will challenge Stow-Munroe Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
