Softball Game Preview: Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes vs. Marion Wildcats

The Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes will head out on the road to take on the Marion Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Zeigler-Royalton came up short against Sparta on Wednesday, falling 14-4.

Zeigler-Royalton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrianna Furlow-Hampton, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Marion lost 9-3 to Anna-Jonesboro.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Zeigler-Royalton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Zeigler-Royalton couldn't quite get it done against Marion in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can Zeigler-Royalton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
