Volleyball Recap: Delphi Community Takes a Loss

Delphi Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Fountain Central Mustangs. If the Oracles were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 25-14, 25-20.

Alissa Miller paced Delphi Community's offense, picking up eight kills. Miller got some help from Kory Dyer and her 11 assists. Baylee Caylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Delphi Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fountain Central, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Delphi Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Rochester on the 23rd. As for Fountain Central, they will host Seeger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
