Basketball Recap: Jennings County Takes a Loss

Jennings County lost against Bedford North Lawrence back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jennings County Panthers took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bedford North Lawrence Stars.

Despite the loss, Jennings County still got an impressive performance from Carter Kent, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Kent's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Napier, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Jennings County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Jennings County dropped their record down to 7-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bedford North Lawrence, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Jennings County has already played their next match (against Floyd Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bedford North Lawrence will square off against Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bedford North Lawrence's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
