Basketball Game Preview: Kimberly Papermakers vs. Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts

The Kimberly Papermakers will take on the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kimberly's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Last Tuesday, Kimberly came up short against Fond du Lac and fell 76-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), the Papermakers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Kaukauna had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They took down the Wildcats 61-44. Given the Galloping Ghosts' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Wildcats are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kimberly's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Kaukauna, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Things could have been worse for Kimberly, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 82-63 loss to Kaukauna in their previous meeting back in January.
